What is the Difference between the Left Brain and the Right Brain?
The brain is comprised of two hemispheres connected by the corpus callosum, a network of nerve fibres. Although similar in appearance, each half has a different function. The left-brain and the right-brain are known by numerous synonyms. Respectively, these are: male brain and female brain, the major hemisphere and the minor hemisphere, the sequential thinker and the holistic thinker, the inchworm and the grasshopper, the logical brain and the creative brain, the artist and the thinker. The question is: why are the two sides described by such antonyms?
A BRAIN WITHOUT A CORPUS CALLOSUM
His study took significance when in the 1960’s; he was able to find out how the two hemispheres of the brain specialized. He did this by performing experiments on patients who had had the corpus callosum removed. This was a procedure performed to alleviate the symptoms of severe epilepsy. The results showed that each of the hemispheres had their own separate state of consciousness and viewed the world in a different way.
THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BRAIN AND THE SPEECH CENTRE
Sperry presented a patient with split-brain surgery two different words, which appeared on either side of the visual field. The patient was only able to verbalize the word that appeared on the right visual field. This was because it had been presented only to the left side of the brain where the speech centre is located. The right hemisphere cannot speak, so the only way to communicate the other word was to draw it or pick it out from a box of objects.
THE TWO HEMISPHERES OF THE BRAIN
Sperry’s discovery that the speech centre, logic and sequential thinking resided in the left brain, and that drawing ability, lateral thinking and holistic thinking resided in the right brain earned him a Nobel Prize in 1981.

LEFT SIDE DOMINANCE
I think Ludwig Van Beethoven was left side dominant because he was almost deaf and he was an excellent composer, conductor and pianist. His musical legacy was extended from the classical period until the beginning of musical Romanticism.
He was considered the last great representative of Viennese classicism. His art is expressed in many genres and even symphonies were the main source of his international popularity, its impact turned out to be more important in his works for piano and chamber music.

Also, Pablo Picasso, he was a Spanish painter and sculptor, creator. He was considered one of the greatest artists of the twentieth century, was involved from the genesis of many artistic movements that spread throughout the world and greatly influenced other major artists of his time.He painted more than two thousand works currently on museums and collections throughout Europe and the world. In addition, it focused on genres such as drawing, printmaking, book illustration, sculpture, ceramics and design scenery and costumes for theatrical productions.

Finally Leonardo Da Vinci, he was a Florentine painter and polymath (both artist, scientist, engineer, inventor, anatomist, sculptor, architect, urban designer, botanist, musician, poet, philosopher and writer) He’s often described as an archetype and symbol of the Renaissance man, universal genius, a philosopher humanist whose infinite curiosity can only be matched by his resourcefulness, Leonardo da Vinci is considered one of the greatest painters of all time and probably is the person with the most talent in multiple disciplines that has ever existed.
RIGHT SIDE DOMINANCE

Albert Einstein was a German-born physicist, later nationalized U.S. and Switzerland. He’s regarded as the greatest scientist of the twentieth century, besides being the best known.
Although considered the "father of the atomic bomb" in his writings he advocated pacifism, socialism and Zionism. It was proclaimed as the "character of the twentieth century" and as the preeminent scientist on the famous Time magazine.

Isaac Newton, he was a physicist, philosopher, theologian, inventor, English alchemist and mathematician, author of Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica, known as the Principia, where he discovered the law of universal gravitation and laid the foundations of classical mechanics with the laws that bear his name. His other works include scientific discoveries about the nature of light and optics and the development of mathematical calculation. Newton shares the credit for the development of differential and integral calculus, which used to formulate laws of physics. Also contributed in other areas of mathematics, developed the binomial theorem and the Newton-Cotes formulas. Between their scientific findings are the discovery of the color spectrum that is observed when white light passes through a prism is inherent in that light, rather than from the prism, his argument about the possibility that light was composed of particles, the development of a law of thermal convection, which describes the cooling rate of the objects exposed to air, their studies on the speed of sound in air and proposed a theory about the origin of stars. It was also a pioneer of fluid mechanics, establishing a law on the viscosity.

Galileo Galilei, he was an astronomer, philosopher, Italian mathematician and physicist who is closely associated with the scientific revolution. Eminent Renaissance man showed interest in almost all sciences and arts (music, literature and painting). His accomplishments include improving the telescope, a variety of astronomical observations, the first law of motion and decisive support for the Copernican. Has been considered the "father of modern astronomy," the "father of modern physics” and the" father of science".
